Hey there

My name's Pat and I have a passion for rock music. This website contains many of my my favorite bands which I've decided to divide into four separate groups. Each group contains bands from different genres of rock music: Classical, Punk, Alternative, and Metal. For each genre I've made a top 3 list which includes my personal opinions of the bands. Now there are many other bands that have some decent qualities in them besides top 3; in fact, some bands just barely missed the Top 3 list. As a result, under my Top 5 list, I've made a list of honorable mentions for bands whose music is a pretty good quality overall. And under my Honorable Mention list, I've made a Mentionable list that includes bands from which I've only heard two or three of their songs but the few songs of theirs that I have heard are pretty good quality; the mentionable list might also have bands from whom I've heard a lot of material but a lot of their songs suck.

One of the hardest things for me to do in making this site was deciding who should go into the Top 3 list for each genre. I agonized a great deal over this issue before I started making decisions. I also realize that by making these lists, I'll have many viewers who disagree with me over them and I also realize that I'm probably leaving out a lot of good bands from my lists as well just because I can't remember them off the top of my head, but all that kind of stuff is just unavoidable, sorry.

Now my lists are in no particular order of inmportance. So neither my Top 3 list, my Honorable Mention list, or my Mention list are in any way placed in an order that would say one band is better than the other. For example, the first band on a list can be just as imporant as the sixth.
